Josephine Abraham is a nephrologist at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College. After training briefly in the United Kingdom and completing a masters in Public Health at the University of Utah, she went on to finish her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She continued at the University of Utah to complete a nephrology fellowship. Upon completion of her fellowship, she practiced nephrology for five years before returning to the University of Utah in 2011.
 
She is the Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship Program at the University of Utah School of Medicine and is also the Clinical Medical Director for the Division of Nephrology. Dr Abraham is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Her clinical interests include various aspects of kidney disease particularly glomerulonephritis, vasculitis, secondary hypertension, onco-nephrology including amyloidosis and renal transplantation. She is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and is involved in clinical research studies in glomerular disease, hypertension and dialysis.
