At Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute, our Hematologic Oncology and Blood Disorders program includes more than a dozen nationally recruited specialists dedicated to treating blood disorders and blood cancers. Subspecialists provide care in specific malignancies, including acute and chronic leukemia, myeloma and other plasma cell disorders, lymphoma, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplasia, aplastic anemia and sickle cell anemia. There are several types of plasma disorders, including multiple myeloma, Waldenstrom’s macroglubulinemia and systemic amyloidosis.
 

The focus of our plasma cell disorders program is to lead the field of the treatment regimens and protocols for patients with multiple myeloma and other plasma cell disorders. Our program focuses on bringing advances in research and treatment options to our patients.
