A patient shared his story with me about dealing with the burden of cardiac amyloidosis. The conversation was sincere and I could tell that he was worried. This led me to develop my research concept paper (see my featured section). Knowing that it takes roughly 494 days from first heart failure diagnosis to ATTR-CM diagnosis, I had to use the insights learnt from our weekly Advance Heart Failure conferences to develop a protocol that would address this disease state the patient was worried about.
