Cardiac transthyretin amyloidosis increasingly under the research spotlight

The availability of new and effective therapies such as gene stabilizers and silencers is changing the outlook for patients with transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CM). Although this disease, which is less rare than previously thought, receives considerable attention, there is still room for improvement in earlier diagnosis. Dr. Simone Longhi discusses this topic at the European Society of Cardiology congress on heart failure, held in Barcelona.
