Caregiver - Amyloidosis Inquiry
Has anyone with AL amyloidosis (especially with cardiac involvement) experienced severe leg weakness or issues with their knees giving out?
My father can barely walk at this point and uses a walker just to get from the couch to the bed. His biggest concern is that his knees can suddenly give out, making him a fall risk. He has lost a significant amount of muscle and is currently doing physical therapy twice a week.
