BRAZIL - Brazil’s health regulatory agency ANVISA granted marketing authorization for acoramidis, branded as Beyonttra, for treating transthyretin amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy in adults, BridgeBio Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ:BBIO) announced today. The company’s shares, which have delivered an 86% return over the past year, currently trade at $68.78, giving BridgeBio a market capitalization of $13.5 billion.

The approval covers treatment of wild-type or variant ATTR-CM, a progressive heart condition. Acoramidis is an oral medication designed to stabilize transthyretin protein at levels of 90% or higher.
