WashU Medicine has joined forces with over 25 million Americans living with a rare disease and health care advocates around the world to celebrate Rare Disease Day. Hosted on February 28, Rare Disease Day is an annual awareness day dedicated to elevating public understand of rare diseases and calling attention to the special challenges people face.
To mark this day, we will host an annual Rare Disease Day Symposium at Washington University Medical Campus and bring together those working on rare diseases to collaborate, share experiences, work through obstacles and discuss the future of rare diseases, and inspire young scientists and clinicians to choose a path in rare diseases. Registration is free and closes on February 9th!
