At the European Society of Cardiology's Heart Failure Congress in Barcelona, Bayer announced the results of new analyses of acoramidis in transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). Outpatient worsening of heart failure as a predictor of clinical outcomes. An exploratory post-hoc analysis of the Phase 3 ATTRibute-CM clinical trial assessed the prognostic significance of outpatient worsening of heart failure and the potential benefit of acoramidis compared to placebo. The analysis found that outpatient worsening of heart failure is associated with an increased risk of multiple adverse clinical outcomes up to 30 months, including all-cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality, and cardiovascular-related hospitalization. Acoramidis was associated with a 41% reduction in the risk of worsening heart failure in the outpatient setting compared to placebo (40,83% vs. 59,41%). The benefit emerged early, reaching the first nominal statistical significance at day 30, and was sustained from day 134 up to 30 months.
