INTRODUCTION

Acquired transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) represents a rare but recognized complication in recipients of domino liver transplants (DLT) from donors affected by hereditary ATTR (ATTRv).

The number of liver transplants performed annually in Switzerland is approximately 120-150, considering both deceased and living donors, according to the most recent data available from the national registry and official publications.1,S1,S2 The availability of organs remains limited, with a waiting list that exceeds the number of transplants performed each year.
