My husband was diagnosed last August with wild type ATTR amyloidosis in his heart. So we are in learning mode. He is on Attrudy. Last night we went to ER. He is always winded but he started coughing up some blood so I pressured him to go to ER. Good thing he did. He has pneumonia. He has not had cold, not been sicker then normal so I am wondering can this be part of amyloidosis ? Has anyone dealt with this or is it not connected?
