Highlights

  • This is the first published study specifically targeting cardiac amyloidosis screening in patients presenting with coronary artery disease.
  • Screening for cardiac amyloidosis at the time of coronary artery bypass surgery did not yield any new diagnosis.
  • No adverse events were associated with myocardial biopsy at the time of cannulation for cardiac bypass.
