Attruby (acoramidis) is a prescription medication used to treat adults with a heart condition known as cardiomyopathy of wild-type or variant transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (ATTR-CM). ATTR-CM affects the heart muscle and can lead to serious complications.
Attruby works as a “transthyretin stabilizer,” which means it helps keep a protein called transthyretin (TTR) from breaking apart. In people with ATTR-CM, these proteins become unstable and build up in the heart, but Attruby slows down this process to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular-related death and hospitalization.
