Phillip Scheinberg, MD, PhD, Beneficencia Portuguesa de Sao Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, discusses the use of transplantation in 30 patients with light chain (AL) amyloidosis at his center in São Paulo, Brazil. He highlights low mortality rates in this historically high-risk group, showcasing the efficacy of this treatment approach even in a resource-limited setting. This interview took place at the Twelfth Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2024) congress in Houston, TX.
